Biography

Michelle B. Kane is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and South Carolina and is admitted to practice before The United States Supreme Court, The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, The Federal Court in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and all Florida State Courts.


Michelle focuses on complex multi-party disputes in litigation, arbitration and mediation and has experience representing clients in jury and non-jury trials. She represents design professionals, owners and contractors in various commercial and construction disputes including professional liability claims, construction defect claims, disruption and delay claims, contract disputes, bond and lien foreclosure actions, regulatory compliance, and licensing issues.


Michelle served on the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Construction Industry Licensing Board for eleven years, having been appointed by former governor Jeb Bush and thereafter reappointed by former Governor Charlie Christ. She served as Chairman of the Board during 2004-2005.
